We have a 5 x 14 evap. with 2- 601 Carlin Burners on it. We also have one of those damper things on the stack in the back. It is a late 70's model rig. We are working on adjusting the damper in the stack, the air shutter on each burner and may be the fuel pressure;BUT we don't really know what we are doing. Does anyone out there have any experience with these rigs? We were wondering if it would be good to replace the two burners with one big newer one. Any advice would be great!!
Thanks Samuel

Lock the damper shut and seal it because it will get all of the air it needs from the burner. You need two burners on the front because on the width of the evap. the best improvment is to get 2 carlin 701 or 801 because they have high & low fire. There should be a site hole over the burner to check the flame, also check the pump pressure to make sure they are the same.100-150 psi check the burner doors to make sure they are ste the same. Good luck
