What size ball valve should I use in a 2x3 stainless pan? 1" or 3/4"? If I go with 1" I can always reduce it.

1" --- sometimes you need to get it out FAST.

My half pint had only a half inch fitting on it I believe. Yes I would go 3/4 atleast if I was building a pan or something, because then you can get it out quicker and if you go to 1 inch, then when you sell that pan to get a bigger one, you can use those fittings and draw off stuff

If it comes out the side you cant get full flow due it being round.
I have a 2x6 that I draw about 6 gallons/hr. Never been an issue with a 3/4" valve. Before last year Glenn Goodrich was drawing about 100 gallons/hr through a 1" valve.
