As I pulled my taps yesterday the sap was running like crazey. The problem, the buds are open after the 79 degree day we had on 3/31 made the buds pop on 4/1 and 4/2. Of course if we hadn't had several rather warm days before that I think they would have held longer, just too many warm stretches before that. My 57 tap roadside line was flowing faster than i ever saw it during the season as were many of the yard trees on buchets but not all. I am ready for a season like I had in 03 and again in 04, they lasted much longer than 05 and 06.
