I have an airblo belly releaser with an external pump. I want to convert it to an internal pump so it doesn't tend to suck vacuum through the seals like the external pump does. There is not enough room in the releaser so I think I am going to have to attach a section of 4" schedule 40 pipe to the bottom of the releaser and put a deep well pump in that. Has anybody done this or seen it done before?

I have not done it myself, but a good friend of mine has done just that with deep well pump. After getting everything to seal up good and stopping small air leaks it works great! They used a clear pice of pipe to house the pump so they could see whats going on in there! He also used a speical type seal between the releaser and the clear PVC for pump Houseing! They found them on line some were. Hope this helps! I can find out about seals if need be. May have a picture of it some were, but will not promise that I'm smart enough to post ! But will look for it and try.

I believe they are called a Uniseal or Uni-seal.

Yes, that is just what he used! I'm going to save that link.

My releaser had an 1-1/2" clear heavy wall hose that hooks up to the external pump. I was going to use a quick coupler and hook this up right into the end of the 4" pipe, after being reduced down to 1-1/2". I was wondering if this would work? Why did your friend use this uni seal? It sounds like he may have attached the pipe a little differently to the releaser then I planned on.

As I remenber it he cut a hole in th releaser large enough for uniseal and 4"pipe to fit into the releaser , The well pump is inside 4" PVC pipe. It is pump down very fast! I have been looking for the picture ,but no luck yet!
