I used a Dayton model 4C129 on my 2.5 x 8. Think it is more about the pressure than the CFM, but I can't fully explain the difference. but it has been discussed on here before.
I got mine on ebay from a surplus guy in Texas. Had been taken out of a factory.

I have a 2x6 leader inferno arch and it has a 540cfm Dayton blower on it. I would think one the same size or slightly larger would be fine because I only have to run mine about half speed to keep a 1000 degree stack temp
