Do the new clear 1 piece check valves fit in a cup style Tee or do I need the round slide thing that fits in the tubing. just curious as to what Tee and how to seal it after the season.

You cut it out of the drop line and throw it away.... you need to be able to plug in the drop line, no spout

There is a new tee that fits the drop once the cv has been cut off.

I was working near one of my dealers the other day, so I stopped in and they happened to have several thousand on hand. So I got all my 2300 already. Good feeling to have that done!

Sorry.....I guess I got lucky then! :)

I stil have 3 seasons left on my remaining drops then I will switch out the stubbies and go with what ever is new and exciting and works at that time. but I will just go with these on anything new until then.

The new clear check valve spout will plug on Leader's cup tee but its not a good or tight seal. It would not work if you planned to wash your tubing. The spout is made to be cut off at the end of the season and you would plug the tubing on the tee and/or end ring. Leader designed a new Tee and end ring.

So I got my order and NO CV2. Says they are on back order....hmmmm it was only 1 bag of 100. So called up and they just got a shipment of 5000 in so I will get mine. I am guessing these are the limited supply. They must be filling backorders that way. ????

When I called to order our 6,000 CVs, I asked about the new CV2s and was told they are having to do final fabrication by hand (having issues with the molder). Thus they are doing orders on a first call basis.

It is not an "issue" with the molders, it is basically due to the fact that the automation to put the balls and sleeve into into the spout is not yet built, and will take several months to finish. Therefore, to fill orders, they are assembling the CV2 by hand (for now, until the automation is finished and working).

I bought some and think they will be so much better to have, considering I used to have to occasionally reset the stubby during the sugaring season on the two piece because some would work loose (vacuum loss). Having to work with a one piece (essentially) and smaller cv will make for a better operation. Dr. Tim, would you know if using a 19/64ths. drill bit would give a better seal on the CV'2, like some people did with the Health spout, or should people use a 5/16ths?

I would think you might split the wood using the 19/64 bit. but thats just me.

Man I couldn't imagine puting those stupid little balls in by hand. Doing that for 8 hours a day..............................but I guess it gives somebody a job that normally might not have one right!!!???

someone told me that leader was letting them take them home and work on putting them together at night.

Keep a count on those cv's, guys. My first two bags have been short by 2 and 1. No big deal, but if all 23 are short, I'll let someone know.

I didn't get the new CV's but I don't ever count the bag contents, maybe I should. I think it would take longer than it would be worth, but maybe that is how Leader thinks it is too.

My count is based on counting the drops. I bundle in groups of 25, and double count them.

I also bundle drop 25/ but I don't start with a full bag of any of the fittings, I start with the left overs from the previous season and I quit at an even multiple of 100.
