Looks great! My family and I built ours last fall. Got everyone involved some. Even got wife up on roof - thought I might have to call fire department to get her down though. Your project will make a lot of good memories!

I am very envious.. Love the "Old school" post and beam..That shack will outlast several generations.

Thats a nice looking building! What are the windows you used? New, used, vinyl, wood with new white paint? They look good.

The windows are just old sashes from my friend.....He replaced his on the house and gave me some for mine....lol.....Like my thread says "3 years of collecting" thats no joke......lol.....My son started calling me the "wood hoarder"......lol...... Beleive it or not this has been a very low budget deal......I had 2 log truck loads of logs given to us, which my friend and I sawed on his mill and then cut the rest for sugar wood......and we have been scrounging all i could for the rest.....Even borrowered a table saw and a miter saw to get the project done.....lol...... and a lot of bartering along the way for supplies, help with the concrete, so on so forth.....LOL.....We just have to buy metal for the roof.......have to see what the $ looks like after christmas........on that note.....We wish everyone a Very Mery Christmas! More pictures to come as we progress further.

Looks like timberframe construction. I have visions of something similar, but I haven't been able to find the time to cut my first mortise. ;) Looks awesome!

Beautiful work. I really like the four braces that form a diamond in the gable.

Looks real nice. I hope the 3 yrs collecting was equipment and not sap. Sap needs to be boiled ASAP. Ha, sorry I couldn't resist.
