my old shack had a coupola and metal roofing,but i had no steem hood it rained on us but we could see. i am building new 16' 20' with metal roof the unit i am getting has steam hood do i need coupola.?

With steam hood cupola is not necessary. But do not use tin for roof without insulation or sheeting or you will get rained on on cold days.

Two years ago we installed a new 3 1/2' x 14' Lapierre Hurricane Force 5, with both front and flue hoods, in our new 24'x32' shack with a tin roof and no insullation or sheeting.

A cupola is not necessary if you have both hoods. There may be some condensation, but we certainly don't get rained on.
