Hi folks,
I just made my first "successful" batch of maple candies - yay! Of course, "successful" in this context means that it actually solidified and did not turn into a rock in the pan. On the other hand, it had some bloom and was pretty grainy.
Here's the thing...I've never actually eaten any kind of maple candy, so I don't even know what I'm shooting for. Are they any producers here? I'd like to buy a variety of different types of candy, just so I can know what it should look and taste like when I'm done. There are no producers from around here, and I'd rather support a trader anyway.
PM me or reply.
Thanks!
~DK
