I am looking to buy a new electric transfer pump. I have been using a tanka gas pump but now have power at my collect point and at the sugar house and just think electric will be a lot easier. Any recommendations?

We use a goulds 3/4 hp stainless to transfer sap 1,400 feet up an 18' grade. Works well but we put in a 1" pipe and should've gone with 1 and 1/4" to go a little faster.

walrus potable water pumps. it all depends on how much pump you need for how much money. I have a 1/4 hp pump I think it was $300 ish...that I use to transfer sap from tanks and move it around from tank to tank if needed and to head tank. just make sure you have a good foot valve and don't run it dry its a pain to prime. otherwise it works excellent. they also have a shut off built in so if it runs out of sap in the tank because you were doing something else:o then it won't over heat and burnout!!!
