Stack cover

I am going to install a stainless stack cover on the top of my metalbestos chimney. How have others done this? I was figuring I would have to drill two holes through the top edge and install two stainless bolts to hold it. How have others done this?

I dont see why it wouldnt work, just want to use stainless hardware it holds up to the heat better
