Thinking of using 5/16 Lapierre spouts on my gravity system I cant see that you can beat the price of 1 year spout just wondering if any one is using these liked or disliked?

We have used them for the last 2 years and like them lot. 2 years ago we got six weeks with these taps on tubing that was 3 years old. We are also all gravity.

Lapierre has some new designs for clear spouts for 2013 season. Please contact the Maple Guys'. The information was just released yesterday to the field. There is a straight clear spout with a stubby adapter that will eliminate cutting your tubing line as well as a longer tomahawk style adapter.
Additionally the molded seam has been eliminated from the product. Removal has been made easier with a larger ring for removal.

I saw the advertisement for these new spouts in the latest OMSPA newsletter. I like the looks of the clear straight spout that takes a stubby adapter.
We like the clear polycarbonate Lapierre spouts. You very seldom need to re-seat them and its easy to find micro-leaks because you can see through the plastic.

Delivron- Does the adapter that takes the stubby spout come in quarter inch instead of 5/16? If so do you know how much it is? Thanks Theron

Typically sold for under $.25 I think you are referring to this adapter that will work with both the new adapter and the traditional stubby adapter.5906

Now does that go right to the stubby or slip over a 5/16 adapter thats already on the stubby? Sorry about not being up on this stuff. I havent tried too many different spouts. Im just confused when it says 5/16 times 1/4. Theron

Theron - I think one of the stubbies slips inside the adapter and for the other type the adapter slides inside the stubby. I haven't seen one in person yet though.
