gas or propane powered vacum pumps

We were just discuseing about changeing over our vacum pump to propane . Has there been any body that has done that ? Is it any cheaper?

Using propane in place of gas will result in about %30 power loss. I think it may be a little cheaper but your going to need allot of tanks or a couple large ones. A slow speed diesel engine (lister) would be the cheapest to run to go if you could find one.
