Our new and first official sugar shack. Amish made pole barn and sugar shack in Allegany County, NY. Should be finished by the end of the week:D

Looks nice. What size did you have made? I've seen a few Amish made structures, they always look well made and from what I understand, the price is right. Describe it, looks like you have wood storage too.

The pole barn is 32 X 24 with an 8 X 20 covered porch for wood storage. The sugarhouse is 12 X 14 with an 8 X 12 porch on the front. Yes, this Amish made structure is very good quality and a great value. It is amazing what a Amish gentleman and his 3 teenage sons can do in 4 days!

We have a log cabin retreat on 120 acres and this has been a life long dream to add a sugarhouse to our place! Can't wait to see it this weekend!

I have no doubt this will certainly beat standing on the patio last year in the wind and rain when boiling. I purchased a Next Generation 2 X 4 ft Evaporator last year and made 5 1/2 gallons. 55 trees tapped, 25 on buckets 30 on lines. Trucked the sap in the back of my pick up 60 miles back home. This year I will be staying at the cabin and enjoying cup of coffee in our new sugarhouse.

Finally! Final review completed and signed off. I'll be moving my evaporator in next weekend. Hanging lights and a few electrical outlets. All powered by a generator. Just picked up a real nice stainless steel commercial sink for free. Things are coming together!

Moved my evaporator in the the sugar house this week. I was very glad to have my Kubota there! Just couldn't wait for a couple of helping hands. I guess I really wanted to see that evaporator inside. Found an Amish gentleman that will make stainless steel stove pipe and roof jacks. We'll see how the pricing comes out.
