Bucket lids

What methods are people using to store and handle there bucket lids? I always end up with leaning piles and dropping them in the woods when trying to carry them through the woods.
Any thiughts?

We use a wooden box on our bucket sled and 55 gallon drums with the top removed for storage.

Milk crates sound like they would work great! Now I need to find some. I have a couple but already in use. Thanks.
