I have a 2 year-old 600GPM unit with a single membrane. I understand tha I can add a post and membrane to increase my output. I don't have another outlet under the control panel for a second recirc pump, so there's a challenge. What is my estimated cost new and used? I'd certainly appreciate hearing some one's experience on this.

The machine needs to go back to the company to add in another plug and control. Then you will have two towers but will not be doing 1200..... more like 900 unless you get more high pressure pump.

I sent mine back a couple of years ago to have done what your are asking about. Unless you have another high pressure pump put on it will only do about 900 gph. I don't regret doing it. just make sure they can do it this late. I sent mine in April and missed the start of the season next year because they lost my original tower. Dale

Thanks, Thad. So a 50% increase in production. Any idea on the premium for that efficiency gain? Does anyone know if the Lapierre guys will make a house call when the come out this way, to the Lake Erie Maple Expo? I can at least take it to the Expo...

Dale, Well how have you been? Is the Cool-Bot still holding strong? If I text you, can you give me an idea of how much they dinged you on the bill?
With great service like that from Lapierre (hint of sarcasm) I can't imagine why Ray Gingerich can't seem to make enough RO's....

I expanded my Lapierre ro from a 600 to a 1200. If you are considering an up grade I would sudgest going this route. I say this beacuse when one of the hp pumps goes bad (and it will) you will have the second one to keep you in production. Performance will go down to 900gph while you wait for the super service from the Swanton office (hint of sacrcasm). On the positive side, when it works it is awsome. I have no problem running 1000gph making 15%.

So, you have two high pressure pumps? That requires some juice. What type of breaker are you running that system on?

Current power requirements 1 Pressure Vessel 1 High Pressure Pump 1 HP Wash Pump 40 AMPS
As requested requirements 2 Pressure Vessel 1 High Pressure Pump 1 HP Wash Pump 46 AMPS
2 Pressure Vessel 2 High Pressure Pump 1 HP Wash Pump 65 AMPS
This assumes you have a 2000 series panel.
The decision for high pressure pump additions is how high will you concentrate to.
