It's a 14x16 concrete blob with a sill on it.

The sill has some bents on it, and Goat has one ridiculously large circular saw.

Lucky for me, a bunch of guys with good attitudes and strong backs came over to lift some fairly rugged timbers.

The frame fit together way better than Lincoln logs, more like Legos. It only took a little persuading.

I plan to offset the arch a little to one side, so the middle knee braces are curved to make more headroom when walking around.

Very nice sugar house so far. It takes more then a village idiot to build this nice of a sugar house. Please take more when you are done.

I think for the size it is structurally under built.... not. That is one nice looking rugged little sugar shack.

Sure it may seem a little stout right now, but this way if I want to move it later I can just drag it up the road.

I got felt on the roof and 3 walls done, but it looks about the same. I'll snap some more pics when I get the woodshed built.

Awesome little sugar house!! I'd love to learn how to timberframe!

Woodshed framed, but the shed still needs a roof. I'd like to show more photos, but apparently I've reached my quota. If I figure out what that means I'll update later. Thanks for all the kinds words. This is by no means my work. Goat is the builder, I just cut and lift.

rather than loading up this forum, put your photos someplace like photo bucket or others and then link to it in your post. That way you have all the quota you could ever need or want.

Good idea maple flats.

I'll try to show the woodshed. The stick pretending to be a rafter is just there for visual. I have to cut 6 4x4's for the real ones, and then get some roof/gable walls up.

The Woodshed got rafters and a roof. The cupola is started, but it also needs rafters and a roof. Before I can start laying the finish roof on I have to decide if I want the stack to go through the peak of the cupola, or off to the side. Going through the peak would be easiest to put in, but I think having the arch off center would give me a lot more usable space on the inside. I think I'll get the arch in place and move it around to see what I like better.

Looking good! I offset my evaporator in my Sugarhouse, it definetly gives you more room. The stream will find its way out!

That's sugarhouse is a beauty. I had a hand in building a timber frame structure one time and I loved the method.

It's been a little while since I updated the photos, but I finished the cupola, put metal on the woodshed roof, and got the roof finished on the front side. I'd like to have my new roof jack before I cut a hole in the roof above the arch so the rear roof is not finished yet.

It looks better without the staging in front
