Looking for any suggestions on lighting for my sugar house. Not sure what is available for shatter proof or protected lights. any suggestions or info would be great.

Here is a link to what I used: http://www.teksupply.com/contractor/supplies/prod1;ts_interior_lighting;pg105447.html They have performed perfectly for the 7 seasons I've had them.

I installed 3-100w metal halide light fixtures to replace 3-500w halogen fixtures. Not only are they brighter, but use 1200w less energy.

On the ones I have (see reply # 2) I have 6 total, 2 on each side, and one on each end. They use 64 watts per fixture for a total use of 384 watts. This lights the entire sugarhouse well. I'm bumping one wall out 10' this year and will then need 2 more fixtures, maybe 3, 2 on ground floor and one in basement cold cellar.

I had the same question not far back and got a bunch of good responses on this thread: http://mapletrader.com/community/showthread.php?17331-Sugarhouse-Lighting-Question&highlight=lighting
