Happy National Donut Day to everyone. Make sure to dunk your donut in maple syrup though.

We've got threads on here where people are arguing over religion, politics and even SteamAways. Now you're gonna start a debate over donuts. :o

Finally a good off topic topic. And it reminded me to stop at Dunkins this morning.
However my support is unwavering for the jelly doughnut, those of you who may be tempted by a frosted are not true doughnutites.

However my support is unwavering for the jelly doughnut,...

I'm not prejudiced....I'd eat them all. Maple-cream frosted is probably my favorite though.

Yeast donuts all the way. There's a guy at the Deerfield Fair who makes the best donuts I've ever had....simply amazing...it's the reason I go, aside from the tractor/horse pulls. I'm a big fan of glazed donuts (chocolate or plain).

The best cider donuts around here are the Harvey Farm/Milk Room restaurant in Epping. Seriously good, and I spend lots of time on the road sampling this type of thing.

The wife just to make donuts, but hasn't in years. I'll have to get after her about it for this year's cider pressing.

Dill, I put in a vote for cider donuts at our annual pressing event...need to fuel the fire. FYI. Bill's making a new pressing tray.

Near one of the spots we hunt in the Adirondacks there is a gas station right in town. They make there own bakegoods and some of the best Cider Doughnuts. Lots of sugar and just a great way to start or finish the day of hunting or fishing or just being near the darn doughnut shop.

With apologies to Will Rogers, "I never met a donut I didn't like."

But, as everyone knows --- Boston Cremes's are the best.......
