I think I'm going to the Maple Mania this year. There is a bus tour of the different sugarhouses on Friday and technical sessions on Saturday.

I was thinking of taking a little maple tour, and this could be perfect. Here's the info:

We will be going also. Sounds like a good one this year. I have to say that last year was also good.

I'll look for you. Eric Ellis said that over 80 people had signed up so far and that the deadline for the less expensive registration was pushed back to next week. I think it will be fun to see a bunch of sugarhouses and talk to other people who are sugaring around the state. All meals are included from Thursday night to Saturday's lunch.

Maple mania is only about 3 days away. I am feeling manic already.

We visited a lot of awesome sugarhouses in Southern Maine, went to Willowbrook and learned a lot about maple syruping. There was a talk about creating vacuum without a pump. I guess you can create up to 25 inches of vacuum with 3/16ths tubing. I'm going to try it next season.

It was a really great event and next year it's going to be in Jackman.
