Surge SP11 part needed

Hello, I had my vacuum pump break down during season this year. I am trying to find a replacement part for it. The part I need is the gear that attaches to the shaft that runs up to the top of the pump. It meshes with the gear that is attached to the crankshaft.5763

Finding replacement parts for the sp's will be really tough.
You might be better off find a pump to use as parts donor.

Dave seeing your from WI you might be able to track down some of the older Surge equipment dealers. You never know what they have setting on the shelves out back. There are one or two places in WI that rebuild older pumps as well. I had the info here on one but can't seem to locate it now.

There is a website called portablemilkers.com that you could try. There are also videos on youtube.com of their restored pumps running. They might have parts. Now with that said, good luck trying to get in touch with them. I was trying to find some info out on a Surge pump I have, but had no luck speaking to anybody there. I called many times and got an answering machine- never spoke to a human. Eventually gave up trying and left a message and never got a return call. Its tough trying to do business with a business thats not interested in doing any business with anyone! Give them a try and let us know if you were successful or not.

Just seen your thread, I may be able to help. Our old surge dealer may have some stuff that you need. I think I had the same thing happen on one of mine and he fixed it for me. I will have to dig through my cards as he is no longer in business and will get back to you.
