Is this is fancy stainless milk reciever that would work on a vac system, or would a glass bender work better? Any one know about these? they almost look like the milk cans for milking one cow ata time, but I just want to know if it is a releaser.

Yup it needs a pump it is electric the sap would hit the electrodes and a control board would turn on a pump just long enough to pump it out.

I do think a glass or plastic bender would be better that one needs to have electricity and be heated so it doesn't freeze
also you need a pump and control panel.

A milk receiver jar works somewhat like a releaser. There are probes inside that when the milk reaches a certain level, a circuit is completed, the pump stats and when the milk gets below the probes, the pup stops. Don't know how well they might work for sap. Needs 240m electric to operate

Just like the large Delaval glass receiver that I have. Mine has a 3 probe sensor but being as the one listed on eBay is SS I have to imagine that it is using the released it self as the common for the sensing circuit.

You could use that one listed on eBay as a sap released but I would prefer it being clear so you have an idea what is going on inside.

used to have the exact same thing in the milkhouse, just with a glass housing. its missing the pump, and some plumbing but with a little work it would be ok. the company that makes it is a mile down the road from me
