Storing Syrup

This is my first year making syrup. We had a great time and made a few gallons. I noticed in the syrup manual that storing in plastic bottles for over 3-6 months that the syrup could darken and some flavor could be lost. I stored about a gallon in a plastic bucket in the freezer, we canned several pints and quarts in glass, but most of it is in quart and pint plastic jugs. Should I put these in the freezer too? If I put the plastic jugs in the freezer, will it keep without the flavor concerns? Thanks for the help.

If stored in a cool dark place I do not think you will lose much. It will be just like it was canned if stored in the freezer.

Thanks for the help - I think I'll Keep it all in the freezer to be safe.
