I just bought a new to me evaporator and the past owner did not use any rail gaskets. so there is a few spots that are a little black. i use rail gaskets and like my pans shiny. any suggestions on what works to remove this?
Thanks

Easy off!! I don't use rail gaskets and I don't have a problem? hmmmm forced air? or natural draft????

This one is natural draft. And the last evaporator I bought was also natural draft and had the same soot and no gaskets.
