Hi: This was my first year boiling on my half-pint evaporator. I am already planning on tapping additional trees for next year, so I'd like to increase my boiling efficiency/speed for next year with the addition of a blower. I have no idea what to look for, cost, or where to buy a blower appropriate for this evaporator. Also, it seems that the previous owner put in an aftermarket, (about 2.5") pipe, that enters from the rear of the arch and runs under the grate; there are several 7/16" holes...I asssume this was designed for increased airflow/blower but I'm not sure about how well it may or may not work....or am I better off just connecting the blower to the air intake below the door. Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
