I've got about 20 of the blue 7/16 plastic taps that I had pulled and put in a bucket and I left the bucket on the side of the trail about 3 weeks ago with the intention to pick up with the wheeler later, but then there was a personal family issue that prevented me from getting them until now, but now they are quite moldy! What is the best way to clean them so they are usable again?
Thanks.

Boil them and scrub. Repeat.

I don't care much about the bucket that they are in. My concern is the mold on the inside of the taps.

just scrub them with hot water. it should come off pretty easy.

I don't use chlorox solution to wash my lines out any more but I might use a 5% solution of unscented (and NOT Splash-less) chlorox in this situation as it seems to cut mold. If you do, make sure and rinse well.

I'd also go with bleach and hot water. Bleach will kill the mold spores or at least most of them which water alone will not do. You might use a small brush or pipe cleaners to give the insides a scrub while you're at it. Then rinse well and make sure they are well dried, including inside, before storing. You could also try boiling them for 10-15 minutes if you think the plastic will withstand boiling water without distorting or warping the taps.
