would a barrel door kit be big enough for a 2x6? it seems like it would be to small, but thats just me. i dont know how big it really is as i dont have one. and do they sell them with the double doors? even if its not super air tight. thanks

I built a woodstove for my tent and for the door I went to the junk yard and found a woodstove with a good frame and door I torched that off and bolted it on the front of the new one....with a arch front I cracked mine this season ..all cast...I have seen some arches that have a heat shield and ceramic blanket on the door...one guy says he has to replace the heat shield every season but it looked on the thin side..on my 2x6 it has bifold doors and I leave one closed when adding wood...

what about just cutting the door of a big wood stove and bolting it on the front of the arch?

I used small rivets to fix 1 1/2" fiberglass rope as arch rail. I bet you can use small rivets to adhere some fiberglass rope gasket on the stove side of the door. This should keep things pretty airtight.

i never thought of that. that should work pretty good if i do build my own door.
