I had a problem with a float stickimg and I scorched and warped my front D&G SS pan luckily it was tig welded. Does anyone know if there is a way to take the warp out of the bottom of the pan?

Thanks

Is it just warped up or down? If it is noit twisted just set it on a clean cement floor that has been swept. Put a piece of 2x6 in it and use at least a 5lb hammer to pound the pan resonably flat. Now someone not a crude as I am would make a jig to put the pan in so it did not twist and would use a press but i am not that skilled.

How bad is it warped? and does it leak?

If it doesn't leak and the wave is less than 1/2" or so, you might just run with it.

Just remember, every time you strike it when it is "pinched" between the hammer and the anvil, it will stretch a little bit in that spot. Locate each blow carefully for maximum effect with the least amount of stretch.
