I have a vaccum pump with moisture trap and auto start/auto stop. How do I keep oil in the pump when it shuts off. It goes into the moisture trap and on the floor

How about raising the trap above the vacuum pump. Maybe you won't need a check valve.

You will need a check valve to prevent the main and lat lines from pulling your pump backwords as the pressure is let off. This will stop your oil from going into your trap.I have mine on my exhaust line, and my pressure is released through my regulator.Hope this helps.

I have a rubber flap on the end of my muffler that sucks against the outlet as soon as you shut it off and it prevents the pump from running backwards

Good topiic - where is the best place to put the check valve - on the exhaust pipe so it can't suck air back in or in line between pump and moisture trap?
