Nice work Don! I can tell you caught the maple bug! Now you will be thinking about syrup until next season!!! And I speak from experience, I tried for the first time to use iMovie when I was inducted as an honorary US Navy Blue Angel last summer (I posted in it the sugar INn section)...and man, it took a ton of time!!!

One question and one observation.
1. How big is the wood you are burning? Is it split up pretty small? The reason I ask is that it seems you could be blowing off more steam at a faster rate with the half pint.

and related is #2....I see you have a right angle in your stovepipe. you gotta get rid of that!!! Your choking the evap, man!!! She's gonna be so angry at you LMAO!!! For real...any way you can get a stack just going straight up? I bet you would see a major difference.

Thanks for sharing your video.

Thanks Josh! First I gotta say I watched your Blue Angel Video and I am Jealous!

The wood I was using was Split Friday, LOL! I tried Splitting it the right size but I had been up for 24 hours putting together the Evap and then split wood til dark. The wood was sitting for 2 years but not split...I knew I wouldn't get optimum performance but I had to use what I had!

As for the stack...That will have to do til I build my Sugar Shack...

Sometimes I just have to say it, "Groovey Man!". Nice job on the assembly and boil. Note for next year: Split wood small small small! I used some wood that I split not much bigger than kindeling and it gave me a heck of a boil! Again: Nice job! I'm green with envy!
