Leader 2 by 6 max flue

Does anyone have a 2 by 6 leader max flue if so how much does it actually boil an hour.In the book it says 50 to60 an hour with a 4 foot flue pan but it also rates my 2 by 6 drope flue 3 foot flue pan at 30 when I only get around 25 gallons. Also how much can i expect to gain with a hood and parelele flow preheater on top of the 4 foot max flue setup. Thanks for any help.-Jaret

Dry wood, sap level and combustion air is what u need. Should be getting at least 35gph

Burning bone dry pine and 15 year seasoning oak running pan at about an inch and a good draft. Any info on the max flue?

How much is one of those max flue rigs anyway? We've been thinking of upgrading to a 30x8 or staying with a 2x6 and going with an airtight front and max flue pans

the 2 by 6 with the 3 foot flue pan and inferno arch rated at 45 to 50 gallons an hour is 7915.00 while the 2 by 6 with 4 foot flue pan rated at 50 to 60 gallons an hour with inferno arch is 8505.00 quoted by Bascoms in New Hampshire if you buy before may 30? yoou get 10 percent off.The only recomend the high efficient arches because the regular wood fired arch doesnt produce enough heat. Im buying one with a hood and pre heater but havent decided yet between the 3 foot or the 4 foot flue pan.

We purchased a 2x6 all raised max flue pan with a 2x2 revolution syrup pan so a 2x8 in all this last year. It also has a leader inferno arch and hood for the flue pan, no preheater. With good dry hardwod, it did better than expected. I was getting almost 100gph out of it. When I had to use some crappy wet wood. It dropped to around 80gph. This rig is rated by leader for 70-80gph. It did boiled fast. I ran out of sap and had to add water twice because I wasn't used to how fast it boiled. I use to boil on a 2x6 Waterloo Small and got about 30-35gph. This was a big step up. It also cost a pretty penny, but it was the one time that I spent the money and didn't have one regret. Collecting, boiling, cleaning up and being home for dinner everytime was priceless.

Thiems, go for the 4ft flue pan, it'll reward hard firing much more than the short pan, will allow more taps before you have to trade up again!
