are there different ones for maple? or are wine ones the same?

how do you use it?, do they measure brixs?


can it be used to check syrup or is it just for sugar content in sap?

The scale on the wine/beer one doesn't go high enough to pull double duty. I bought the beer ATC model (lower scale), which works fine for sap, too, and then discovered that I also needed the higher scale model to get up to the syrup reading (66 Brix). Amazon has 'em both.
