What, no veggie garden???? Just about the perfect time to start one now. LOL and like someone else asked you earlier, do you ever sleep?:D
All the best, Don. I'm pretty sure you'll find something to bide your time waiting to fire up that new rig of yours next year. It was fun following your progress this year and seeing how you excelled at it. Maybe you should just relax for the next couple of months and work on a tan:cool:

Plant yourself some apple trees this year. If you like cooking sap I bet you would enjoy making your own apple cider and apple sauce every year.

Work and syruping are only things I do when I'm not fishing. lol I couldn't get my syrup stuff put away fast enough this year. Bass have already moved into some of the backwaters here, and today those backwaters hit 60º in some spots. I had blow-ups on frogs, IN THE MIDDLE OF MARCH!! A weird year for sure, and not just for making syrup.
A few shots from the last few days..............

I hope you do! Maple season is about as long of a period of time I can handle without fishing. And even then I'm usually still getting on the ice a few times at the start of mapling, and in the boat a time or two near the end. According to my records, my boat saw the water 110 days last year. Granted, some of those days were 3 or 4 hour after work trips, but 110 days none-the-less. I have a very forgiving wife! lol I have not bought a hunting license in 15 years though.

Nice Boat! I have an old aluminum 16 footer with a 50 HP...great for inland and the St. Clair River but not good on the Big Water...
I also have a 22 Foot SportCraft 1968 and it needs some carb work... I may make that my next project.
I have my USCG 25 Ton Master Captain's License but as of right now I haven't started Running Fishing Charters...
YeastPimp...NY is kinda far for a fishing buddy...if you ever take a Vacation to MI let me know!
Going to start hauling manure and getting the hay equipment greased up. The fields are too wet now, but at 80 degrees they might dry fast.

I bought a cider press on Craigslist this winter. Another short but sweet enjoyable hobby. A friend of mine started making small batches of moonshine, it's boiling?!

Well even though Maple Syrup is over I really enjoyed today! Walked out to my Food plot and my Clover and Chicory is Green and Growing great! Walked by the Pond and saw all the frogs and Bluegill and went and got my Fly Rod and caught a bunch of Gills! Life is Good!
I have been reading about Bee Keeping and Honey and I'm gonna buy a hive and give it a try!

I'm looking in to growing some sorghum and make molasses. need to do something with this pan investment. I understand its very similar but you have to press out the sap.

Can't wait to get into some Bluegills. Sat on a bucket ice fishing last weekend (75 degrees out), still had a foot of ice. No fish though.
What I like to do from now until, oh say mid July, is BBQ. Not the quick and easy way but low and slow, paying attention to every detail. Can't beat smoked brisket or pork shoulder smoked just right, with the right rub treatment, over 18 hours on the smoker. I make my own hickory lump charcoal. A guy could even make his own rig if he's handy and has some time. Give it a try. Just a word of caution though, your friends will always want to be at your house come Saturday night.
