IM getting abuot 800 gallons of sap per day from 1250 check vavle spiles and 22' of vacuum 4 days after our last freeze.

Its costing me about $40 a day for gas to run the vacuum. THe sap is at only 1.5% sugar, but the the R.O takes care of that problem. IM still making money.

The syrup was getting very very dark, so I shut down, drained and cleaned the sap tanks. THey were getting pretty scuzzy in this warm weather.

If these buds will hold off, we are suppose to get another freeze next friday.

That was great news to me. I'm 2 hours from bush. Got here and had around 200 gals of slightly cloudy sap. Still tastes and smells ok so boiling it seperate. Got the barrels emptied and hooked vac to trees. Have bee n getting around 8 gal an hour off 87 trees at 21 inches of vac. Keeping it seperate and cooking. This year will be bad but not as bad as first thought.
