We're about to pull the taps and are wondering if we need to do anything to the holes after we pull the taps out. The neighbor said to spray the holes with rubbing alcohol to prevent disease. Is this true ?
It's our first yr. at this and we don't want to harm the trees

Pull the spout, give it a big hug and tell it to have a good summer

Check your cornell website and you will see that you just let nature take care of the holes!!!!!!

Just pull the spouts and leave the holes alone. Best to let nature take care of it.
