OK i have a 1.5 by 4 pan. the back is flat and the front has 3 sections. it took me 10 hours to boil down 65 gallons of sap. I kept the fire going good. it just seems long for only 65 gallons. its a homemade rig so all i can think of is to much heat being lost. it was hard as all hell just to stand by it. Any help will be nice.....jim

I have a 2x4 with flat bottom and get 8 gph, or 1 gallon for each square foot. Your rig is in line with that too.

1 gallon per sq ft is normal, 1.5 would be considered great.
