Where did you get your pans? Like your set up I'm in Perry and need to upgrade for next year.

The Amish man is in Black Creek. Take 19 south out of Belfast. Turn right on 305. Once you get into Black Creek you will take a hard left onto County Road 41. His place is the first you come to. The house is on the left and the shop is on the right. The shop doesnt look like much but the guy does nice work at a reasonable price ($1200 for 2'x3' front, 2'x5 drop rear, and the stack base).

nice looking rig! One question on the distance between your stack and back pans - do you get any scorching on the back pan from the stack heat and if you built this again would you add an inch or two between the stack and the back pan? I'm planning on building an arch next year and am wondering if a few inches of air gap would be enough or if a heat shield is needed between the stack and back pan to prevent scorching. I'd just like to eliminate as much scrubbing as I can ya know. :)

I am not sure how it is for him but I built mine too close and it has caused a couple of issues so I would give it more room, however I now put a piece of arch board in there which fixed the problem!

No problems with it being that close. No burning on the pans at all.

We are partners in this thing and it worked great.
