I don't know if it added to the flavor but yesterday when I was boiling I smoked turkey breast and in my water pan I put sap that I had boiled down slightly. Between the hickery smell outside the sugar shack and maple on the inside I was in heaven drinking my bell's beer yesterday afternoon. what a great reason to stand outside and watch water boil.
