View Full Version : Floats
I had a float put on my rear pan last year for sap and would like to put a float on the front pan for syrup. My drawoff area is half the size of my rear float pan. The float would have to be about 3 inchs long and 2 1/2 inchs wide. Do they make them around that size or would you have to enlarge the drawoff box? Hope this is the right description.
Thanks

Al is your front pan lower than the rear? how do you regulate it now?
My pans are level and I regulate the depth with a hand valve. Gets a little hairy when your by yourself.

Al,
Do you have a dropped flue or raised flue?? With the new float box, if you evaporator is a drop flue, the one float should control the entire evaporoator. :?
Raised flue pan. Just got back from Leader's. Boy what a candy store!!! :D
