looking at the weather forecast here in NW PA, the tiny buds I see on my favorite yard tree (hard maple) and it looks like maybe 2 more gathers. should have tapped harder Feb 1st... hoping to hit my goal of 40 gallons. The new Phaneauf rig worked up to my expectations...some tweaking this summer with some sort of pre-warmer and some air over my fire. fire wood cut for next year..with some splitting to do...already looking forward to next year. have some fishing to do next.
