Typical story, started as a barrel stove guy working outside with no shelter. Upgraded this year to an 8x12 sygar shack and a 2x4 evaporator. The sugar shack was built by my dad and I along with some child labor. The evaporator was homemade by my father in law. His design, his manpower.
It was completed about 2 weeks ago while sap was in the tanks...nothing like last minute. Fired once so far, will again this weekend and worked amazing.
2nd year, about 70 taps and all homemade equipment!
