syrup with mould

I have several bottles of syrup left over from last season which had developed mould. Is it possible to pour this syrup into a pot, skim off as much mould as possible, and re-boil this syrup?

Would it be okay to use this syrup to make cream or candy?

Yup just skim it off and boil it again.
