I have a raised flue 2x6 with 8 inch smoke stack. Does anyone use 10 inch on a similar size rig? Would that be adviseable? As it is my pipe goes up 3 feet and then goes out a side wall before going up another 6 feet. I am going to remedy that at the end of this year and was wondering if I should go bigger as well.

My 2x6 dropflue, with natural draft, came stock with a 10" stack.

Those two bends are killing your draft, get that smoke going straight up and you will be happier.

Last year I used an 11 inch single wall stove pipe on my oil barrel stove, this year I reduced that to 8 inch metalbestos insulated type chimney pipe, and have not noticed any difference in evaporation rate. I believe the draft has improved with the insulated chimney, but it is hard to tell after only two boils.

My 2x6 has 8" pipe going straight out the roof. One benefit of a larger pipe size is you would need less pipe to get enough draft. Most companies advise 2x the length of the evaporator for adequate draft. I did the math on the total volume of a 10" pipe at 12' and to get the same amount using 8" you need to be around 17' and that is still slightly undersized. I haven't noticed a real difference in evaporation either I am still running around 40 GPH and my stack temps are around 1200.
