adding raised flues to a flat pan

Hi everyone

I have a 2 x 4 11 " deep flat bottom Waterloo pan and wondered if anyone has ever added/welded raised flues on to such a unit ?

I would think you would want to add drop flues. If you added 7" raised flues and boil 1" deep (above the flues) you will only have 3" of freeboard with your 11" sides.
