Need bigger buckest

I have 10 trees set up on tubing and have it come to the road to a bucket. Today with it in the 50's 3.5 hours my 3 gallon bucket past it holding. love the sap run but hate to see it go back into earth. lesson well learned.... 5 gallon bucket now......jim

you probably want over 10 gallons of storage there. i have tubing into 5 gallon bucket, some lines with 5 trees. i as told a max of 3. so 10 is way to many i would think.

with that many id have at least a 15 gallon drum.i have 4 big roadside maples 3 taps each going into a 15 gallon drum and ive had several days where its ran over.

I have seen a single good tree fill a four gallon pail twice per day on a good run. Anything less than 4 gallons per tree/tap is asking for trouble.
