Long handle thermometer

I was looking for a long handled thermometer and couldn't find one. Most places sell Taylor can't thermometers. I have an old Grimm one with an adjustable plate with selected temps for mapling. It has mercury in it so I don't use it anymore but it would be perfect. I also have a long handled thermometer that Bascoms sold about five years ago. Anyone know if they are still made.

The Taylor's are just way too short to read in a evaporator pan, the sides just come up too high.
