here in coastal maine and all the northeast we are going to get a heat wave when the sap should pour antds the trails turn to muck. Do you think the quality will go down with it being warm? Ive boiled twice this year and the color has been pretty good. I would think a little warmup would be good but is 5 days too much of a good thing?

warm weather always seems to lower the grade (color), but the quality should still be good. ( since many of my customers like dark syrup, I try to avoid saying Dark Amber is lower quality).
I'm looking forward to getting my taps all in and hopefully getting my pans sweetened by friday.

Yep, put my boots on, crunched out to the buckets. Give em a shake. Didn't hear no sloshin sound.
Its 50 and bright sunshine however the sap hasn't quite turned on yet.

Was 50 before lunch here today. I checked a few buckets about 1:00pm and haven't gotten anything to speak of.
