i just did a small batch and it quickly went pass the right temp but not burnt. real thick in the fridge but tastes great. could i add it to my next boil to thin it out or its it too late. its good anyway so if not ill still eat it. thank cory:)

Add some sap or water, just a little, and bring it back to syrup.

I don't see why you couldn't add it to another batch. If you leave it as is, it will probably crystalize. You could always eat it ASAP.

I've always done small batches and until recently did not have a hydrometer. Being on the cautious side, I always ended up canning syrup that ened up too thin. Put it on the side lines, in case one of your next few batches is thin, then mix.
