I know I will only be drawing off 2-3 gallons at a time and wondering if rather than have syrup cool in the filter press in between draws if I would be better off drawing off into a 5 gallon container and then reheat and filter all at once. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Thats what I'm doing as we have similar draws. I've been reheating and filtering every couple of days with 6-8 gallon batches. Seems to work pretty well.

Thats what I do as well. I draw into a milk pail then move it to a turkey fryer that I put a spigot on. There is a hose from that feeding the press. I reheat to about 150 and run it through the press to my canner and bottle from there.

thats what I do but i draw into my filter tank and wait till i have at least 15-25 gal to run it. i just use prefilters when i draw so most of the crud is gone anyway.I played around last year with every draw off and just about returned the press! screw that!!!
