Hello everyone. I should be receiving my new Daryl 5" press tomorrow or the next day(super excited!), but I was wondering what you would use for tubing and fittings to go from finisher to press and press to bottler. I was thinking of that re-enforced braided tubing from lowes. I would like to use quick connects somewhere in this setup if at all possible for easy breakdown and cleaning. I'll probably be finishing and filtering batches of 2 gallons at a time. I would appreciate any input. Thanks!

That is what we are using with our press. 1/2" ID. I'm going to try some brass quick disconnects.

I find the milk house tubing is more flexible and does not kink when cold. Its the clear thick wall tubing. Have not seen it at the box stores, got mine from Goodrich's. The 3/4" slips over 1/2" fittings (nipples) for easy on and off.

I used the braided tubing for years, had to replace it about every 3. It will kink when hot, which gets worse with age. I don't think its really suited to high temp. Many people use the thick wall stuff, doesnt kink but it's a bear to move around cold. For this year I purchased high temp norprene tubing from US plastics. It is very flexible and doesn't get softer with hot syrup. Very happy with it so far. You still have to watch hose angles to prevent kinking at sharp bends, but other than that its very nice to use.
